Supply a CMYK PDF at 300dpi with 3mm bleed and fonts outlined or embedded — for double-sided cards, make it a two-page PDF with the front on page one and the reverse on page two. One tip for creative stocks: the material is part of the design, so leave it room to speak — layouts with breathing space show off texture far better than edge-to-edge coverage. What makes a creative business card different? ›

The stock. Standard cards are printed on smooth coated board; creative cards use materials with genuine texture and character, so the card itself communicates quality before anyone reads a word. For design-led businesses, the material is part of the message.

Why print double-sided? ›

The reverse is free space most cards waste. Use it for a portfolio image, a bold pattern, your strapline or simply a striking colour — contact details on one side, personality on the other.

Which stock should I choose? ›

Texture needs to be felt, but as a guide: Textured Uncoated (300gsm) is a thick, creamy off-white stock with a subtle ripple and finely speckled finish; Pearl (350gsm) gives your design a soft, radiant shimmer; Kraft (300gsm) is an uncoated brown paper with a warm, rustic look; Uncoated Cotton (300gsm) is a soft, bright paper made from pre-consumer recycled cotton; Hemp Blend (325gsm) is extra-durable, made from hemp and post-consumer recycled fibres; Textured Linen (350gsm) has a lightly woven texture for a refined, handcrafted appearance; and Woven Bamboo (375gsm) is an uncoated bamboo paper with a natural patterned texture. How do I supply double-sided artwork? ›

For double-sided cards, supply a single two-page PDF — front design on page one, reverse on page two — in CMYK at 300dpi with 3mm bleed. Single-sided cards just need the one page. Every order gets a free artwork check by a real person, so if anything needs attention we'll tell you before printing.
