Artwork made easy

Every order includes a free artwork check by a real person — you don't need to ask. If we spot a problem, we'll contact you before anything gets printed.

Blade flags need carefully positioned artwork because of the vertical shape and sleeve placement, so use the dedicated template for your size and orientation: right-facing flags put the pole and base on the left of the graphic; left-facing flags reverse it, and each has its own template. Supply a CMYK PDF (AI or EPS also accepted) at 150–300dpi for final size, with vector logos and typography, key content clear of the sleeve areas, and bold, high-contrast design that reads from distance. Adapting a logo to a tall blade format isn't always obvious — our studio will happily do it for you, safe zones included.

Frequently asked questions

What is a blade flag?
A blade flag is a tall, straight-edged promotional flag with a sleek vertical profile — more refined than a feather or teardrop shape — that moves naturally with the wind. It's freestanding, suits indoor and outdoor use, and is dye-sublimation printed on knitted polyester for vibrant, detailed colour.
What sizes are available?
Four: Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large, ranging from approximately 2.5m to over 5m tall. Bigger reads further; smaller suits doorways, indoor spaces and tighter forecourts.
Are bases included?
No — bases are sold separately so you can choose the right one for your environment: spikes for soft ground, weighted or plate bases for hard standing. Tell us where the flag's going and we'll recommend.
Are blade flags suitable for outdoor use?
Yes — they're stable in winds up to Beaufort Scale 4 (13–18mph). Always dismantle during stronger winds, and note that heavy rain adds weight to the fabric and strain to the pole.
Can I order double-sided printing?
Yes — double-sided blade flags use two layers of knitted polyester with an internal blockout membrane, stitched together as one flag for full opacity both ways. One honest caveat: standard bases aren't covered under warranty when supporting the extra weight of a double-sided flag, so talk to us about the most secure fixing for your location first.
How long will a blade flag last, and how do I care for it?
For a regularly used outdoor flag, a realistic maximum lifespan is around six months, depending on weather exposure and hours flown. To get the most from it: machine wash at 40°C with everyday detergents, let the fabric dry fully before storage, dismantle in winds above Beaufort 4, and keep it clear of anything the fabric could snag or rub against.
What's the difference between right-facing and left-facing?
Right-facing flags have the pole and base on the left-hand side of the graphic; left-facing flags reverse this. Each orientation has its own artwork template — use the one matching what you order, and every file gets a free check by a real person before printing.
