Eye-catching height on the tightest budget

The Flamingo Economy Flag is the low-cost way to add vertical, eye-catching branding to a shop, showroom, exhibition or forecourt. A bespoke graphic on Knitted Polyester, held in shape by a weighted nylon rod along the bottom hem, standing on a free-standing black pole and hollow base that push-fits together in about five minutes — one person, no tools. Fill the base with sand or water and it holds firm. A real person checks your artwork before it's printed, and every order helps restore forests through our Print A Tree project.

Artwork made easy

Every order includes a free artwork check by a real person — you don't need to ask. If we spot a problem, we'll contact you before anything gets printed.

Use the template and supply a CMYK PDF with fonts outlined, keeping key content clear of the stitched pocket edges along the top and side. Flags read from a distance while moving, so bold, high-contrast design beats fine detail — and remember this is a single-sided flag: your design shows through to the reverse as a mirror image, so centre any text and avoid anything that only reads one way round. How does the base stay stable? ›

The base is hollow and fills with sand or water — empty it weighs 2.6kg for easy carrying, filled it holds around 15kg to anchor the flag. Sand gives more grip and won't freeze; water is quicker to fill and empty on the day.

Is it a double-sided flag? ›

No — the Economy Flag is single-sided, so the design shows through to the back as a mirror image. If you need a solid, correct-reading image on both faces, our premium blade and feather flags offer a true double-sided build with a blockout layer between the sides.

How big is the Economy Flag? ›

It stands 2670mm tall overall with a printed graphic of 705 × 1915mm and a 375mm-deep footprint — tall enough to draw the eye above head height, compact enough for a shop doorway or exhibition stand.

Why does my flag lean slightly? ›

That's normal — free-standing flag poles and bases naturally lean a little depending on which way the flag faces, because the graphic's weight sits to one side. Fill the base fully and secure it as firmly as possible and it'll settle; a slight lean isn't a fault.

Can it be used outdoors, and how do I care for it? ›

Yes, indoors and out — but dismantle it in winds above Beaufort Scale 4 (13–18mph), keep it clear of anything the fabric could snag on, and don't set poles too close together. Machine wash at 30° with no detergent, dry it fully before storing, and position away from heavy pollution where white areas can grey over time.

How long will an Economy Flag last? ›

For a regularly flown flag, a realistic maximum lifespan is around six months, depending on weather and hours in use. The pole and base last far longer — a replacement graphic refreshes the whole display for a fraction of a new unit.
