Flat & Creased Leaflets

Unfold Your Message with Printlogik's Flat & Folded Leaflets

Description

Room for the whole story, folded to fit a pocket

When you've more to say than a flyer holds, a folded leaflet gives you the space — a full brochure's worth of information that folds down to something a customer pockets, posts or picks up from a counter. Choose from six sizes, four fold styles and premium papers up to 350gsm, single or double-sided, in quantities from 50 to 100,000. A real person checks your artwork before anything is printed — which matters more on folded work than anything else in print — and every order helps restore forests through our Print A Tree project.

Choosing your fold

The fold shapes how your information is revealed. A single crease (to 4pp) is the clean, classic booklet fold — front, back and two inside pages. A gate fold opens from both sides to a central panel, giving a theatrical reveal that suits a hero image or a headline offer. A roll fold (6pp) tucks each panel inside the next, so the reader works through six panels in sequence — ideal for step-by-step or detailed information. A Z-fold (6 or 8pp) concertinas so every panel is visible as it opens, giving high visibility and easy scanning. If you're not sure which suits your content, tell us what you're presenting and we'll suggest the fold that carries it best.

Artwork made easy

Every order includes a free artwork check by a real person — you don't need to ask. On folded work this is genuinely valuable, because folded artwork is the easiest thing in print to set up wrong.

Supply a CMYK PDF at 300dpi with 3mm bleed, a 3mm safe zone and fonts outlined or embedded. The part that trips people up: supply the leaflet as a 2-page, double-sided PDF with the panels imposed in fold order, not reading order. On an A4 creased to A5, page 1 shows leaflet pages 4 and 1 side by side, and page 2 shows pages 2 and 3. For landscape creases, the back panel is rotated 180°, and the inside pages too, so everything reads the right way up once folded. It's fiddly — so print a mock-up, fold it, and check it before you send. Easier still: send us your pages and we'll impose the fold for you. It's exactly the kind of error our free artwork check is there to catch.

Frequently asked questions

Which fold should I choose?
Match the fold to the content. Single crease for a simple four-page layout; gate fold for a dramatic reveal around a central image; roll fold for six panels of sequential detail; Z-fold for information that's scanned rather than read in order. Tell us what you're presenting and we'll recommend the fold that suits it.
How should I set up folded artwork?
As a 2-page double-sided PDF with panels imposed in fold order rather than reading order — for an A4 folded to A5, page 1 carries leaflet pages 4 and 1, page 2 carries pages 2 and 3. Landscape creases need the back and inside pages rotated 180°. If that sounds involved, it is — send us your pages and we'll impose it for you, and always check a folded mock-up first.
Which paper should I pick?
170gsm gloss for vibrant, punchy colour; 170gsm silk for the same weight with a softer, more readable finish; 300gsm coated art board for a substantial, premium feel; 350gsm silk for the most luxurious, tactile result. Heavier stocks suit leaflets meant to be kept; lighter ones suit high-volume mailing where postage weight matters.
What quantities can I order?
Anything from 50 to 100,000 — small runs for an event or launch, large runs for a mailing campaign, with the per-unit cost dropping as the quantity rises.
Can I print both sides?
Yes — single or double-sided. Most folded leaflets are double-sided to use every panel, but single-sided is available where the back can stay blank.
What's the difference between a leaflet and a flyer?
A flyer is a single flat sheet; a leaflet folds, giving more panels and more room for detailed information in a compact finished size. If your message fits one side, a flat flyer may be all you need — if it needs sections, a folded leaflet organises it.
