Artwork made easy

Every order includes a free artwork check by a real person — you don't need to ask. On folded cards this is genuinely useful, because folded artwork is easy to set up wrong.

Supply a CMYK PDF at 300dpi with 3mm bleed, a 3mm safe zone and fonts outlined. The setup that trips people up: supply the card as a 2-page double-sided PDF with panels imposed in fold order, not reading order. On an A4 folded to A5, page 1 shows card pages 4 and 1, and page 2 shows pages 2 and 3. For landscape folds, the back and inside pages are rotated 180° so everything reads the right way up once folded. Cards print double-sided, so if you want the inside left blank, supply a blank second page. Print a folded mock-up to check before sending — or send us your pages and we'll impose the fold for you.

Do the cards come folded? ›
They arrive flat and pre-creased, so they fold crisply along the ready-made crease and lie flat when written in. Supplying them flat also keeps them protected in transit and easy to store until you need them.
How do I set up the artwork? ›
As a 2-page double-sided PDF with the panels imposed in fold order rather than reading order — for an A4 folded to A5, page 1 carries card pages 4 and 1, page 2 carries pages 2 and 3. Landscape folds need the back and inside pages rotated 180°. If that's fiddly, send us your pages and we'll impose it for you, and check a folded mock-up first.
Can I leave the inside blank? ›
Yes — the cards print double-sided, so to keep the inside plain for a handwritten message, just supply the second page of your PDF as a blank page. We'll print exactly what you send.
