A-Boards for outdoor advertising. Durable, weatherproof and easy to assemble. Perfect for businesses, events and more.

Description

Pavement signage that folds flat and costs less by the pack

Outdoor A-Boards are the quick, economical way to put a message on the pavement — printed on lightweight 4mm fluted board that folds and interlocks into a free-standing A-shape in seconds, then packs flat again. Direct-to-board printing gives sharp, vivid colour, and because they're sold in packs that fill a full sheet, the price per board stays low. Mix designs across a pack at no extra cost. A real person checks your artwork before it's printed, and every order helps restore forests through our Print A Tree project.

Pack sizes

Boards are cut from full sheets, so they come in packs sized to fill a sheet — which is how the price stays low. The options are: 590 × 1000mm (pack of 2), 390 × 1000mm (pack of 3), 290 × 1000mm (pack of 4), 590 × 420mm (pack of 4), 390 × 420mm (pack of 6) and 290 × 420mm (pack of 8). Every board in a pack can carry the same design or different designs at no difference in cost, so a pack of four could be four locations, four offers or four directions.

Artwork made easy

Every order includes a free artwork check by a real person — you don't need to ask. If we spot a problem, we'll contact you before anything gets printed.

Use our template for your chosen pack size and supply a CMYK PDF with fonts outlined. The board folds, so the template shows the fold and base lines — keep key content on the two display faces and clear of the folds and base. If you don't want the standard handle cut-outs, simply ignore or delete those guide lines in the template and tell us when ordering — it doesn't change the cost. Design bold and readable from across a pavement. Send your file and we'll confirm the setup before printing.

Frequently asked questions

Why are they sold in packs?
Because the boards are cut from full sheets of fluted board, selling them in sheet-filling packs avoids the extra shape-cut and finishing charges you'd pay for odd quantities — which keeps the price per board low. The pack size depends on how many of that size fit a sheet.
Can each board have a different design?
Yes — and it costs no more than printing them all the same. A pack could be one design repeated, or every board different: separate offers, directions or locations. Just supply artwork for each and mark which is which.
Will they stay put outdoors?
They're lightweight, so for outdoor use we strongly recommend weighing down the base or pegging the board into the ground, especially anywhere breezy. We don't supply weights or pegs, so source those separately — sandbags, weight plates or ground pegs all work. For a sturdier, permanent pavement sign, an A-frame is the better choice.
Are they suitable for long-term outdoor use?
They're best thought of as short-term or event signage — direct-to-board printing looks fantastic for closer viewing, and the boards are light and economical rather than heavy-duty. For permanent, all-weather pavement signage that stays out in all conditions, a rigid A-frame with a replaceable poster is the more durable option; tell us the use and we'll advise.
What are the handle cut-outs for?
They're built-in hand holes that make the boards easy to carry and reposition — handy for market stalls and events where signs move around. They come as standard, but if you'd rather have clean, uninterrupted faces, we can leave them off at no extra cost.
How is this different from the fluted board signs?
Same 4mm fluted board material, but formed into a free-standing, folding A-shape rather than a flat panel. If you need a flat sign to fix to a fence, hoarding or wall, choose our flat fluted board; if you need something that stands on the pavement by itself, this is it.
