Artwork made easy

Every order includes a free artwork check by a real person — you don't need to ask. Cushions have a couple of setup quirks, so this check is worth having.

Supply a CMYK PDF (PDF/X-1a preferred) at 300dpi, at 1:1 scale, with a 20mm bleed on all sides — much more than standard print, because that margin wraps around the edges during sewing and finishing. Extend your image right through the bleed or you'll get white edges, and make sure any crop marks and colour bars sit outside the 20mm bleed, or they can end up printed on the finished cushion. Cushions print double-sided as standard, so if you want one side plain, add a blank page to your design. Keep faces and key detail away from the outer edges, where the fabric curves over the pad. Send your file and we'll confirm it before printing.

Frequently asked questions

Does it come with a cushion pad? ›

Yes — the pad is included and the cover has a zip fastening, so it arrives as a complete, ready-to-use cushion rather than a cover you need to fill. The zip also means the cover can be removed for cleaning.

How do I wash it? ›

Spot clean or dry clean only — please don't machine wash it, as that can damage both the print and the finish. For everyday marks, gently spot clean the area; for a full refresh, dry cleaning is the safe option.

Can I have a different image on each side? ›

Yes — cushions are printed double-sided as standard, so two different photos or designs cost no more than the same one twice. If you'd rather have one side plain, just add a blank page to your artwork and we'll leave that face unprinted.

Why is the bleed so large? ›

Because 20mm of your image wraps around the edges and into the seam when the cushion is sewn and finished. Without that extra margin you'd end up with white edges where the fabric curves. Extend your background through the full bleed and keep anything important well inside it.

What size should I choose? ›

Small (35.6cm) suits an accent cushion or a smaller chair; medium (45.7cm) is the standard sofa size and the most popular; large (66cm) makes a real statement or works as a floor cushion. For a photo gift, medium is usually the safest choice.

Will my photo print well? ›

A good-quality photo at 300dpi and full size reproduces beautifully on polyester. Phone photos usually work well; heavily cropped or low-resolution images can look soft when enlarged to cushion size. Send yours over and we'll tell you honestly how it'll come out before printing.
